Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun

Vice Chancellor

Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun is a Professor of Environmental Engineering at the Department of Interior Design Engineering in the Faculty of Engineering of Takoradi Technical University. Rev. Prof. Eshun was born on 28th June 1968, to the late Robert Eshun from Dixcove and Madam Grace Anform from New Amanful, Takoradi, both in the Western Region of Ghana. Prof. Eshun had his basic education at Prestea Goldfields International School in the Western Region. He furthered his education at Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) Takoradi, obtaining his GCE ‘O’ Level and GCE ‘A’ Level certificates. He obtained his Bachelor of Science (BSc) Degree in Physics and Master of Science Degree in Wood Technology and Industrial Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi in 1993 and 1998 respectively. Determined and focused, he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering at Wageningen University & Research, Environmental System Analysis Group in the Netherlands in 2012. Rev. Prof. Eshun started his working career at BMK Particle Board Ltd as the Production Assistant Manager before joining the Takoradi Polytechnic as a Lecturer in 1999. Rev. Prof. Eshun has risen through the ranks of the Takoradi Technical University. He was the Head of the Department of Furniture Design and Technology now Interior Design Engineering, and Building/Civil Engineering in the years 2003 and 2004 respectively. By dint of hard work, he became the Dean of the School of Engineering from 2004 to 2008 and Vice Rector from 2009 to 2013. Until he was appointed the Rector of Takoradi Polytechnic, Rev. Prof. Eshun was the Dean of Degree Programmes. Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun has made enormous contributions to curriculum development for Polytechnic education in Ghana and has several research papers to his credit. He has presented several international conference papers and has had many refereed papers published in international journals to his credit. He is a member of internationally recognized professional bodies such as the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC), Europe and the International Forest Association, United Kingdom. Rev. Professor John Frank Eshun provides consultancy services for the International Tropical Timber Organization (ITTO) on Life Cycle Assessment for Environmental Product Declaration of Tropical African Mahogany lumber (Khaya) produced in Ghana. Religiously, Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun is a Lay Reverend Minister at the Lighthouse Chapel International, Takoradi – Anaji Branch and he is married to Mrs. Josephine Baaba Eshun. Prof. and Mrs. Eshun are blessed with four children; Pearl, Peggy, Caleb and Rosemond.

Prof. Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah

Professor Victor Kweku Bondzie Micah was born on the 9th of October 1974 in Winneba. He is a sculptor by training and profession and has been practising sculpture since 2001. He obtained his B.F.A. (Sculpture) in 2002 and M. F. A. (Sculpture) in 2005, all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. In 2015, he completed his PhD in (Arts and Culture) at the University of Education, Winneba. Professor Micah has gained extensive experience in teaching. He started as an Art teacher at A.M.E. Zion Girls Secondary School, Winneba, before he became a Teaching Assistant at KNUST. He joined Takoradi Polytechnic in 2005, as an instructor in the Department of Sculpture and was later promoted to a lecturer. In 2009, he was promoted to Senior Lecturer. He became an Associate Professor in July 2016. Professor Micah researches and has authored five books on art and sculptural materials and practices. He has attended several seminars and conferences and has published in both local and international journals. He has chaired parallel sessions at conferences in Ghana and has had the privilege to write forewords for art books and catalogues. Professor Micah has extensive professional exhibitions to his credit, most of which are permanent exhibitions and memorials. He combines creative abilities and managerial skills admirably, which competencies have enabled him to ably manage his art company – Micahes Expressions – specializing in quality spatial art. He has been running the Company since 2001. He has successfully handled several offices during his career. He was the substantive Head of the Sculpture Department (2010-2012) and the Dean, of the School of Applied Arts (2013-2015). Additionally, he has served on numerous boards and committees in and outside the Polytechnic. He was the President of the Takoradi Branch of the Polytechnic Teachers’ Association of Ghana from 2009 to 2011. In the early days at K.N.U.S.T., he served as the Judicial Committee Chairman, College of Art, whose office made him an automatic member of the main S.R.C. Judicial Committee in the 2000/2001 Academic Year. In November 2017, he was elected as the Pro Vice Chancellor of Takoradi Technical University. Professor Micah has a well-balanced and pleasant personality with good interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and administrative skills helped him to build a formidable local POTAG at a time when the Association was on the verge of collapsing, giving him hands-on experience in union affairs. There is a spiritual side to Professor Micah. He worships with the Price Cathedral A.M.E. Zion Church in Winneba. He was the youth president from 2005 to 2007 and currently serves as Treasurer for the Men’s Fellowship.

Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory

Dr Moses Maclean Abnory was born on 31st July 1968 in Asokore in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He hails from Kusanaba in the Upper East Region, Ghana. He is married with three children and currently residing at Cape Coast, Central Region. He had his General Certificate Examination both Ordinary and advanced level at Effiduase Secondary School (1988) and Kumasi High School, Ghana (1990) respectively. Abnory had a Diploma in Education together with a Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (Social Sciences) which was awarded concurrently in 1996 at the University of Cape Coast. He followed this up and earned a Master of Business Administration in Health Services Administration at the University of Ghana in 2000. In 2011 and 2014, he was awarded a Postgraduate Diploma in Organisational Development and a Master of Art in Organisational Development respectively at the University of Cape Coast. Abnory obtained a PhD in Institutional Management from Florida, USA in February 2016. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy programme in Public Health at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). His research interests include issues of Health Services Management, Organisational Development, Productivity Management, Human Resource and Relations Management among others. He is best known for skills in Strategic Management and Critical Thinking, Organisation and Team Effectiveness Assessment, Facilitation and Pedagogy, Report Writing, Dynamic Team Building, Communication, Listening, Proposal Writing, Interpersonal Relations, Creative and Innovative Management, Administrative and Policy Formulation, ability to solve problems and achieve the desired goals, ability to work under pressure and stress, ability to learn new concepts quickly and adapt to new situations and environments. He held various positions before he began his career as the Director of the Directorate of Legal, Consular and General Services, University of Cape Coast (December 2015 to August 2019). He has climbed through the ranks from a Senior Administrative Assistant (Public Relations Section, U.C.C / Acting Welfare Officer, 1996 to 1997) to a Senior Administrative Assistant (Office of the Dean of Students, U.C.C, 1997 to 1998). He also assisted the Registrar in the Directorate of University Health Services from 2000 to 2012. He then became the Deputy Registrar in the Division of Legal, Consular and General Services, U.C.C from October 2012 to November 2015). He has also been a Board Member for the College of Community Health Nursing, Winneba and a Council Member for Tamale Polytechnic, from 2013 to 2017 and 2015 to 2017 respectively. He has served as a secretary for the Cultural Activities Committee, Residence Board, University of Cape Coast, Committee of Heads of Halls, Ad hoc on Best Worker Award, Hospital Board, and Senior Common Room Committee. Aside from these, he has membership experience for the Congregation Planning Committee and Sexual Harassment Committee, among others. He is into other extension services in teaching, at the post-graduate level. He is a Part-time lecturer for the following courses: BUS 813 D- Management and Organizational Behavior, (College of Distance Education post-graduate programme, UCC), Weekend School- KUMASI, 2013 to date, HRM 803 – Management Theories and Concepts in Human Resource Management (School for Development Studies, U.C.C.), Sandwich, 2011 to date, and that of HRD 811S -Organizational Development (Institute for Development Studies, U.C.C.) Sandwich, 2011 to date. Dr. Moses Maclean Abnory is a Christian and a staunch member of the Presbyterian Church, in Ghana. His hobbies are Reading and Writing, Planning Social and Charitable Events Listening to music, and Farming. He is a self-motivated, organised, enthusiastic, dedicated and hard-working individual who is committed to his career. He exhibits good knowledge of his professional area and imparts it with great passion towards the achievement of results. He is an experienced educational administrator and a health services management consultant. An effectual leader with proven ability to develop registries of emerging higher institutions of learning (Universities). He has Nineteen years of higher education and health services management experience, Five years of consultancy services in the field of managing organisations and their stakeholders, and a strong passion for facilitating personal and staff capacity building. His major strengths as an Organisational Development expert and a University administrator are in the management of the University’s resources, his ability to work under pressure, his ability to advise and assist in implementing important decisions and policies, as well as his pragmatic and visionary drive makes him suitable in acquiring a lot of the positions stated above.

Dr Kwadwo Essuman Amissah (Change of name from Eric Kwadwo Amissah – Ghana Gazette No. 65, 31st July 2013, p. 1043) was born on 2nd December 1968 at Amakom and hailed from Asafo both in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He is married with two children and currently residing at Flat 1, Masters’ Flats, Takoradi Technical University Main Campus, New Site, Effia in the Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly, Takoradi in the Western Region. He is a Christian. Dr Amissah obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Art and Culture from the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Ghana concurrently, on July 21, 2020, and a Master of Technology in Printing from Takoradi Technical University, Ghana, on December 18, 2020, respectively. On November 11, 2011 and May 2, 2011, he obtained concurrently a CoMundus European Master of Art in Media, Communication and Cultural Studies and Master of Art in Communication Studies from the University of Florence, Italy and Roskilde University, Denmark respectively. He had a Master of Art in Art Education from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, which he obtained on June 11, 2005, and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Publishing Studies from KNUST, Kumasi, Ghana, on March 11, 2000. His research interests include issues bothering graphic design – printing/publishing, bookbinding, advertising, productivity management in printing, research in graphic design, subject areas research, academic mentoring and counselling, developing course manuals and reading materials for students, and communication and media practices. He possesses excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving and achieves the desired goals, interpersonal relationships, ability to work under pressure, ability to learn new concepts, accept constructive criticisms and adapt to new situations and environments. Abigail Padi is an Associate Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance at Takoradi Technical University, a Professor of Corporate Entrepreneurship, and also Development Economics. She is highly experienced and academically endowed. She is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Business Studies. Previously, she was the Director of the Centre for Gender and Advocacy. she also became the Head of Department for Accounting and Finance all in Takoradi Technical University. Prof. Padi's intellectual pursuits cover Development Economics, Corporate Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, and Gender Studies. Her commitment to research has yielded a rich body of intellectual outputs, which include a large number of articles in prestigious local and international peer-reviewed journals and publication of two landmark books. She is also very strong on the international front in her intellectual involvement, participating in a number of workshops, seminars, and conferences. Academically, Prof. Padi has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Cape Coast, with a bias towards Economics. She holds a Master of Philosophy in Economics from the University of Cape Coast. Her other academic journey ended with a Doctor of Philosophy in Business and Management (Entrepreneurship) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Dr. (Mrs.) Faustina Emefa Agordah is an accomplished academic, master trainer, mentor, and researcher focusing on curriculum development, implementation issues, and skills acquisition and utilisation in fashion. Her educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Home Economics, a Master of Education in Home Economics (Clothing) from the University of Education Winneba, Master of Philosophy in Home Economics (Clothing) from the University of Cape Coast, and PhD in Fashion Design and Marketing from Kenyatta University. Dr. Agordah is also a professional milliner actively involved in the fashion industry. She is conducting a comparative study as a principal investigator in the Ghana Codesria Higher Education Programme Grant. Additionally, she has contributed to the field by publishing book chapters and scholarly papers in refereed journals. Her publication can be traced to ORCID ID: 0000-0002-7340-1265
